To everybody concerned about Iraq, The MARIAM APPEAL in conjunction with the ECI is holding a day and a night event for the people of Iraq on Saturday 6th May at Kensington Town Hall, Kensington London starting at midday (nearest Tube - Kensington High Street) Confirmed speakers include Hans von Sponeck (former UN humanitarian Coordinator for Iraq), Denis Halliday (former UN humanitarian Coordinator for Iraq), John Pilger (award winning journalist / Presenter), Rt Hon Tony Benn MP, George Galloway MP, Felicity Arbuthnot (journalist), Maura Quinn (UNICEF) and many others. Naseer Shemma, the Iraqi oud player is also performing a special concert in the evening, and Harold Pinter will be speaking too.
