Re: [casi] Hate-mail sent to casi-discuss-list - suggestion

[ Presenting plain-text part of multi-format email ]

hello all,
it is not important that i invest in efforts to shut out nor to restrict hate
mail. if i choose to open such mail, i then show it to other americans and
ask if this is another expression or example of the "western culure" that
bernard lewis insists arouses "jealousy" in the islamic world. is this an example of
what they wish our government should export or impose ? i ask. revulsed, they
insist that this is must be the aberrant "ugly american" that they, until
iraq, believed was a myth. thus the charte net folk(s) in effect serve up an
ironic benefit.
tony
