[ Presenting plain-text part of multi-format email ] Iraqi Communists March in Baghdad On Anniversary of 14th July 1958 Revolution On the 45th anniversary of the 14th July 1958 Revolution, the Iraqi Communist Party organised a mass demonstration in central Baghdad. Thousands of Communists and their supporters joined the march on Monday 14 July 2003, openly celebrating this Iraqi National Day which commemorates the overthrow of the monarchy. Raising red flags and banners, the marchers headed from central al-Tahrir square to al-Furdus square, chanting “Forward .. Towards Free Homeland and Prosperous People,” and many other party slogans calling for independence and democracy. --------------------------------- Yahoo!
