[casi] Desert Fox

A copy of my email to ABC News. Blair also lied about this issue
repeatedly.

Peter Jennings Interviews Secretary of State Colin Powell

"They created a set of circumstances in 1998 where the inspectors had
to leave. And for five years, we didn't know what Iraq was doing."

This lie is being repeated without being questioned. A few points:

The inspectors left because the US/UK told the chief inspector to
leave.

The US/UK had put spies amongst the inspectors.

The US/UK used the inspections to spy on Iraq.

The US/UK launched the Desert Fox attack without UNSC approval or
consideration.

The US/UK used information from the inspections to try and kill SH
and other officials.

Faced with the undermining of UNSCOM by the US/UK, the UNSC had to
create a new inspection system.
