[casi] Thanks...but...

[ Presenting plain-text part of multi-format email ]

Thanks to Bert and Tony for their invaluable ammo. I assure Bert (and all) that I have no intention
of bringing the anti-war message down to the level of a slanging match. I intend to tell Tom that I
am glad to see him supporting the anti-war effort. I will also commend him for joining in a real
debate where any opinions are welcomed, rather than the stagemanaged, carefully scripted tripe that
passes for debate in today's media. However, I also intend to remind him of his duty to represent
the views of those constituents who believe it would be immoral and illegal to wage war against the
Iraqi people with or without the say-so of the UN. I will only remind him of his comment that this
viewpoint isnonsensical if I have to!

And now the but...am I correct in saying that the UN say-so is given by the Security Council? How
many members constitute the Security Council? In other words, how many nations are actually
consulted before war is waged in their name?
