[casi] Priceless!

[ Presenting plain-text part of multi-format email ]

It would be funny if it weren't so tragic.

The BBC has an article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2269462.stm) today about the 'US
threat to stop Iraq inspections'. They report Colin Powell as saying that the Security Council must
spell out to Iraq the serious consequences if it fails to co-operate with the inspectors!!! But
they fail to explain how Iraq can co operate with the inspectors if the US goes out of its way to
prevent the inspectors doing their job!

The article also juxtaposes the following two quotes beautifully:
Saddam Hussein insisted that Baghdad does not possess chemical, biological or nuclear weapons.

and

The White House called the statement disappointing.

I *bet* the White House is disappointed. Now it's just going to have to go to war and forget about
appearing as the Christian Crusader that it wants us to believe it is.
