I'm just wondering if anyone from CASI is scheduled to appear on the American public affairs network, C-SPAN, during the coming weeks. This morning's Washington Journal featured American University's Carole O'Leary, who responded to an ignorant caller's claim that Chomsky, Ramsey Clark et. al. blamed the sanctions for two million deaths during the past decade with the discreditable assertion that it's all the Iraqi government's fault, given the successes of the oil-for-food program in the northern part of the country. (Need I add that she didn't correct the caller's two-million figure or refer to the UN sanctions committee's blocking of shipments of 'dual-use' materials?) _______________________________________________ Sent via the discussion list of the Campaign Against Sanctions on Iraq.
