Re: [casi] Jelly Sweets and Crayons.

Dear Hussein
The information given to you is correct. You need an export license to send
any thing to Iraq. Personal letters are exempted.
I am sure that these postal measures are not intended to harm the civilian
population of Iraq .... but are taken to deter Iraq from using the postal
service in its efforts to develop WMD.!
There are three ways to send the items listed in your message.
1- Write the Baghdad address in Arabic including Baghdad, Iraq. Then in
English write Jordan. The post office will think you are sending the message
to Jordan.
2- Write the Baghdad Address then Amman Jordan. Write on the envelope in
Arabic "Please forward to Baghdad"
3- Write the Baghdad address then write Baghdad, Jordan, I know this is
stupid,. I think the post office will look at the country (Jordan) and thats
all
If every thing fails you can write a nice letter to the child, Sorry kid no
Jelly sweets, no crayons, no colouring books because Iraq is run by Saddam
Hussein!. I guarantee you that She, the kid, will laugh. The whole thing is
laughable
