BUSH COMES TO BRITAIN - BE THERE TO WELCOME HIM!
President George W. Bush will be visiting Tony Blair
at Chequers on his way to the G8 meeting in Genoa,
probably on the 19th July. This is a great opportunity
to tell Bush what we think of his National Missile
Defence plan, which would give the US the power to use
its vast nuclear arsenal without fear of retaliation.
NMD goes against the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM)
Treaty, and is leading to a new arms race.

(i) PROTEST: Wednesday 18th July, 5.00pm, opposite
Downing Street, London (organised by London CND)
The protest starts at 5.00pm, and there is a public
meeting afterwards at 7.00pm, at the House of Commons
- again, check the Student CND Network website for
details.
(ii) PROTEST: Thursday 19th July, all day, Chequers,
Buckinghamshire

CND is organising a protest at Chequers against Bush's
NMD proposals.
(PLEASE NOTE: Because Bush's schedule is unconfirmed,
THIS DATE IS PROVISIONAL… check the Student CND
Network website for the latest information at
www.studentcndnetwork.freeserve.co.uk)
