Anyone near Liverpool? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 26 Feb 1998 22:04:22 +0100 From: Franco Castoldi <fcastoldi@tin.it> Subject: Save the Iraqi children! Milan, March 26th 1998 Help us to save Salah! Salah Kalil Ibrahem, 9 years old, born in Talafar and living in Mossul (North Iraq), has a serious heart desease. He risks to die and he can't be treated in his Country, because of the lack of medicines and medical equipment due to the embargo. He needs a very difficult surgical operation that can be done in a special centre for heart surgery in Liverpool (U.K.). The operation will be done thanks to some doctors who in recent years have already cooperated with the Italian association "A bridge to Baghdad" and went to Iraq. The arrival of the child in the hospital is planned about for next March 20th. We are collecting money for the hospital and for the travel (about 30,000 dollars) and we are organizing the travel. We are now looking for people living in Liverpool area who could visit Salah and his uncle in hospital and help them for the problems they might have in a foreign Country. We need in particular people who speak Arabic and English. Thanks for any kind of help you could give to save Salah.
