Iraq Demonstrations - update

Dear Friends...this is a call to action!

With the likelihood that Iraq will be bombed on the 17 there
will be a demonstration on Sat. 14 February. A group of us willbe
goingfrom Cambridge on the 10.00 National Express coach leaving Drummer
Street. A good meeting place for people already London who wantto meet
with the group from Cambridge will be the north end of thw Waterloo Bridge
at 11.40.
I do hope that as many of us aspossible willbe able to go. It is
of great importance. Bring banners and hearts if you can!
It might be advisable to buyyour tickets today, otherwise there is
an earliercoach leaving at 9.30.

In the event of arrest, there willbe legal advice on hand
at the demonstration.

                                Chloe

DON'T BOMB IRAQ; END ECONOMIC SANCTIONS

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 14
"Encircle the Ministry of 'Defence', London"

Gather 12 noon on the Whitehall side of the Mo"D" building.
There will be some short speeches, a letter and petitions will be handed in
to Downing Street, and then there will be an attempt to surround the
building. People are invited to attach hearts or photos -- of Iraqi people,
of children -- to the building, or the crowd-control barriers.
There will be a short silence held in memory of those Iraqis who have
already died as a result of both the Gulf War and economic sanctions.
After one o'clock there will be the possibility of taking part in a symbolic
"die-in".

Saturday demonstration sponsored by: Nonviolent Resistance Network, Milan
Rai (ARROW), Emily Johns (artist) Stephen Hancock (Peace News), Dave Durham
(National Peace Council), Jorgen Johansen (War Resisters International),
