Thoughts are important, but yes, money counts. Some can't afford to give,
although if *everyone* gives a little it mounts up.

More to the point I want to make is the post/forward I just sent about
"World Peace, Freedom, and Welfare". The imperialists spend huge amounts
of money and use other forms of tangible power -- like bombs -- to get
what they want, and while they are not composed of one unified block the
various parts -- the corporations, neo-con think tanks, the media, and of
course the governments and military -- are all coordinated like a vast
army.

Millions of people marched in the streets, and what happened? Not much --
the war went on, the war crimes go on, the curtailment of civil rights go
on, and the American people are just about as dumb as ever.

Casi has been "against sanctions" for years, and it really hasn't changed
much.

I've heard some advocate civil disobedience, physical destruction,
occupying offices and such, but I don't see that will help much.

In short, the people of the world have not been very effective in making
their wishes into horses, and it's the imperialists who are riding high.

It's time to get organized and become *effective* in our opposition.
There is only one language those people understand: money and power, and
power in this case means information and political power -- the American
vote. That's how the big labor unions made a difference. If the US
government is made over, the rest will follow. It's fine and dandy for
the Iraqis to bring charges against the US, but even if Belgium goes
along with it, it will be ignored by Bush, and Belgium will catch the
heat. The world has to hit the US government where it hurts, and that's
the upcoming elections. If the right people get into office, they DO have
the power to criminally charge Bush and crew, and make it stick.

THAT'S the realpolitiks!

There can be two responses to this: we can say "Oh, there won't be enough
support, people won't get organized, everyone will succumb to pressure
and look to their pocketbooks, etc. OR we can all make the needed
decisions to do something -- we can CHOOSE to act effectively. If we
don't, then welcome to another (New American) century of tyranny and
misery, and what Woolsey says is world war 4.

Think about people of the world -- it's up to all of you.
