What if Iraq invited the whole world, diplomats, media and
ordinary citizens, to come to Iraq right now at this moment of
crisis as witnesses? No visas, anyone can come, even risking
spies etc, go anywhere. Completely open borders for maybe 1 month?
Political tourism?
I doubt if the Iraqi leadership would allow this, but this is basically the
policy followed by the Chiapas movement and Nicaragua under the
Sandinistas, and I believe these measures averted worse violence,
