Armenia to keep peace in Iraq

      RBC, 17.11.2003, Yerevan 16:57:39.Armenia is going to take part in
peacekeeping operations in Iraq, in particular regarding military medicine
and mine clearing, Armenian Deputy Defense Minister Artur Agabekyan reported
at the Armenia and Peacekeeping seminar. According to him, Armenia is
negotiating participation of its military servicemen in the post-war
operation in Iraq with the USA. Participation of Armenian doctors and
demolition experts will not be military. It will be aimed at providing the
security of peaceful populace, the military official stressed according to
the ARKA news agency.
