Dear CASI 1. On Wed 22 Nov at 1115 pm Channel 4 will broadcast a programme by Mark Thomas called 'Mark Thomas Debt Collector' on the issue of Iraq's debt. It includes a scene in which Mark doorsteps a debt trader and offers him a chained Iraqi. Please let everyone know that this programme is on. 2. Mark needs as many emails as possible as soon as possible condemning the trading of Iraqi debt (as opposed to cancelling it) on moral grounds. Please email brief comments to Mark at agatton@justabout.tv Thanks very much Eric ---------------------- Dr. Eric Herring Department of Politics University of Bristol 10 Priory Road Bristol BS8 1TU England, UK Office tel. +44-(0)117-928-8582 Mobile tel. +44-(0)7771-966608 Fax +44-(0)117-973-2133 eric.herring@bristol.ac.uk http://www.bris.ac.uk/Depts/Politics/ http://www.ericherring.com/ Network of Activist Scholars of Politics and International Relations http://groups.yahoo.com/group/naspir/ _______________________________________________ Sent via the discussion list of the Campaign Against Sanctions on Iraq.
