[casi] DU in Israel

[ Presenting plain-text part of multi-format email ]

According to the Laka Foundation, the IMI Institute for research and development, Haifa Bay,
Israel, is involved in the manufacture of DU munitions. The Israelis were the first to use DU in
combat in a large tank battle in 1973. They are also thought to have used it in Lebanon in 1982.
About 18 months ago I heard that scientists at Bethlehem University were examining DU fragments
they had recently found so i would reckon that Arafat's statement was right.
