There have been press references to John Hamre, Frederick Barton, Bathsheba Crocker, Johanna Mendelson-Forman and Robert Orr, "Iraq’s Post-Conflict Reconstruction: A Field Review And Recommendations", 17 July 2003, http://www.cfr.org/pdf/Iraq_Trip_Report.pdf and http://www.csis.org/isp/pcr/IraqTrip.pdf and http://www.unfoundation.org/media_center/events/events/iraq_situation/Iraq_Trip_Report.pdf Bremer and Rumsfeld requested the on-the-ground mission and subsequent report. The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and UN Foundation collaborated on the mission and report. All the major Washington decision-makers and/or advisors will likely look at the report. This report contains several desirable recommendations, and seems to be worth reading.
