For those in the New York City-area, there's a free public event
happening tomorrow at Pace University in downtown Manhattan that we
wanted to let you know about. And for those not in the area, CSPAN will
be taping and
subsequently broadcasting the proceedings nationwide.

A Public Roundtable on 9/11, Iraq, Empire and Democracy

Tuesday, June 3, 4:30-6:30pm

Featuring Nation writer Jonathan Schell, ex-Nation columnist, author and
Vanity Fair columnist Christopher Hitchens, Middle East Report editor
Chris Toensing, and Egyptian human rights activist Saad Eddin Ibrahim.

The debate will be moderated by Micah L. Sifry and Christopher Cerf,
Co-editors of The Iraq War Reader: History, Documents, Opinions, a
bipartisan collection of writings, which this discussion will be based
on.

Pace University's Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts
Spruce and Gold Streets, downtown Manhattan

Reception and book-signing to follow

The event is free to the public, but space is limited. To reserve a seat,
