[casi] Iraq charities



By the way, I endorse too absolutely CARE International in Iraq who do a
hugely wide ranging and imaginative programme which responds to need for
emplyment, building/refurbishing clinics and a host of terrific initiatives.
It is run by Margaret Hassan, Irish, married to an Iraqi, who has been there
throught every attack and bombing and never ran away like many seniors in
the UN.

Medical Aid for Iraqi Children, Hope, Care Iraqu, Human Relief Foundation
(44) (0)1274 392727 all Iraqis which was the original query, are toweringly
creative.

Not Iraqi but also doing fabulous work is a small charity, Bridge to Baghdad
(Rome based) who have a permanent presence there, set up a clinic in Basra
(the Sinbad Clinic) were behind the dates importing initiative and great,
tuned in to Iraqi culture, people and lots of wonderful getting cultures
together initiatives:
