[casi] Protesting US stevedoring contract

Yesterday, activists protested at the corporate office of Stevedoring
Services of America's against their recent $4.8 million contract with the US
government to run the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr.

At 10 am, activists arrived in the office park of SSA in suits and ties and
construction outfits to set up the new offices of "ASS" (American
Superiority Services.) The idea behind the action was inspired by SSA's
recent aquisition of the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr. This American corporation
has moved into the Iraqi port and will be setting up American style commerce
operations, completely disregarding the years of successful Iraqi port
operation. ... ..
