It never seemed to me that I gave the impression that I wasn't concerned
about the pain being inflicted on the Iraqi civilians right now, and
certainly, for many very personal reasons as well as the general sense of
compassion for the pain and outrage for the injustice, I have very strong
feelings.

I don't feel an abstractions regarding the Iraqi situation, not sure where
you got that from?
