[ Presenting plain-text part of multi-format email ] The "Good Patriots" of America on patrol. And they wonder why we question how they can install democracy in Iraq when they don't even want it in the US. For many people of color in the United States, we already know these people. They are the ones who held onto African slaves with one hand and waved the American flag with the other hand. The ones who held on to weapons to attempt to exterminate Native Americans with one hand and used the other to demand 'freedom' from the British. They were under the hoods of the klan, they were on the horses forcing Native Americans off their land. They are the ones denouncing 'immigrants' with the 'foreign accents' of their recently arrived parents and grandparents still fresh in their minds. There are those who are newly shocked at these type of people, and there are those of us who have always known them to be around.
