Valerie, 64, is a member of Peaceful Tomorrows, September Eleventh Families for Peaceful Tomorrows (http://www.peacefultomorrows.org ), and is available for media interviews Valerie has no children and had a special relationship with Adam. As the only family member who lived in Manhattan, she led the family search for him at hospitals and through the maze of victim's service centers. She is deeply disturbed by the GW Bush presidency and became even more alarmed at the administration's use of the events of 9/11 to push for war and the abridgement of democratic principles, social programs, and personal liberties. Last autumn, she met Rita Lasar of Peaceful Tomorrows while demonstrating outside a New York State Senator's office against the resolution allowing the US president to declare war without the consent of Congress, and joined Peaceful Tomorrows immediately. Since then she has taken part in more demonstrations and become a speaker for the group.
