[casi] A new diversionary alliance

The Editor

Dear Sir

Are influential old Gaytonians* trying to divert media attention away
from possible war with Iraq? Commentators today have been wondering
what Michael Portillo is up to, 'wielding the dagger' by helping stir up
a storm about the inner workings of the Conservative party.

Is it too much of a coincidence that he was at school (Harrow County
School for Boys) with Nigel Sheinwald, recently appointed as Foreign
Policy Adviser at Number 10?
