Press release December 15th Children Against the War 0845 458 2564/ 0794 7839992 8 year old to send Blair anti war Christmas card message Monday This Monday, December 16th, London based schoolgirl Sonia Taylor, aged 8, will hand an anti war Christmas card, which she has made for the Prime Minister Tony Blair, in to No 10 Downing Street. The hand in will be at 6pm. The card is green and Christmas tree shaped, decorated with glitter and on the inside Sonia has written peace in lots of different languages. The text of the inside of the card reads "Dear Mr Blair No war on Iraq 12 years of sanctions have killed thousands and thousands of children in Iraq War will kill thousands more. Drop sanctions not bombs. No war on Iraq. Children must be kept safe and so must other people be as well" Sonia started an anti war group, Children Against the War during the bombing of Afghanistan, the group now has about 25 regular participants and dozens of badges have been distributed with the slogan "Children Against the War" Sonia has organised 3 demonstrations in the past year.
