[casi] Proposed US war on Iraq

[ Presenting plain-text part of multi-format email ]

Oxford,
England

                               5th November,2002 01993 775080

Your Excellency,

Very many people here are very frightened that Blair and Bush seem determined
to wage war against Iraq regardless of a complete lack of any impressive
evidence and regardless of the opposition of nearly the entire world. They
are still pressing very hard for a UN resolution by their usual method of
bribery, blackmail and bullying.

Regardless of your feelings of obligation arising from the First Gulf War,
you have made your opposition to such an attack quite clear. Of course, you
are being subjected to the US/UK standard bullying practices which are a
source of shame to most of us. I cannot urge you strongly enough in the name
of world peace to resist the US demands to use Kuwaiti territory.

Yours sincerely,

Christopher Leadbeater
