Re: [casi] Recent Amnesty

Dear list members,
We heard about Iraqi goverment's attempts to
make some artificial democratic changes
following American threats to overthrow Saddam.
Hassan seems to have inside information about
these negotiations.
Please keep us updated!
About releasing political prisoners (if it
really happened), it is not enough to clear
Saddam's government record of human rights
abuses. The fate of all those who disappeared
after being arrested by the government need to
be accounted for, and all persons responsible
need to be put on trial. Isn't that a human
right?
