Dear list, Hassan added a post about Sean Penn's advert in the Washington Post. There have been a long list of celebrities recently who have spoken out, including Woody Harrelson: http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,3604,813189,00.html Also, Barbra Streisand is using the anti-war movement to promote her lates cd/box set. Her web site had rants about the "iranian" dictator Saddam. This has since been corrected on her web site, but it just goes to show you how some celebrities use the media to their advantage and sometimes disadvantage: http://www.barbrastreisand.com/news_truth.html I would like to add that, even though Woody Harrelson made some effort to speak out, he is also guilty of using it to promote his stand-up tour dates as you will notice in the article's link listed above. ~ Anai Rhoads - - - - http://savethechildren.org/childrenemerg.shtml http://www.thePetitionSite.com/takeaction/411151486 -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup _______________________________________________ Sent via the discussion list of the Campaign Against Sanctions on Iraq.
