Dear list members, Understanding Global Issues has just published an issue on Iraq. Its first half briefly presents Iraq's history up to 1990. This serves a as background for the second half, which treats the 1990s and the current policy debate. While the cheque that I've just received for commenting on drafts of the issue does not seem to be contingent upon its sales, I did want to draw this to list members: it provides a concise and, I think, balanced introduction to the Iraq debate at an undergraduate/non-specialist level. Copies may be obtained from the UGI's website (http://www.global-issues.co.uk/) for GB£ 2.95, €4.95, US$ 5.00, Can$ 6.95. Multiple copies can be purchased by campus bookstores or directly from the UGI website. Discounts on direct purchases are: 2-10 copies per title 10%, 11-30 copies 20%, 31-100 copies 25%, 101+ copies 35%.
