Re: [casi] extract from a website

Dear Jiale,

Voices US are our sister group in the States. On the 3rd December 1998 they
were sent a 'prepenalty notice' by the US Treasury Department, 'proposing'
a penalty of $120,000 against Voices US itself and $10,000 against each of
four named individuals for their 'exportation of donated goods, including
medical supplies and toys, to Iraq absent specific prior authorization by
OFAC and transactions relating to travel to Iraq and activities in Iraq.'
You can read the documents on-line at
http://www.nonviolence.org/vitw/hearthevoices.html.

Best wishes,

Gabriel
