Re: [casi] March yesterday

Hi

I congratulate my friend Mr. Alaskary for selecting the most appropriate
time to demand < the overthrow of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein> . It
coincides with the Israeli demand to overthrow the Palestinian President
Yassar Arafat. A western diplomat said this morning that “ the road to
Baghdad is through Jerusalem”

Mr. Alaskary says < any military action against the dictator must not harm
the people of Iraq.> . I am sure that my friend understands that even if
they write on every bomb “To Saddam Hussein” these smart bombs are going to
kill innocent people. “Name targeting “ bombings may lessen the guilt
feeling of the bombardier but like hell will kill a lot more innocent people
than the targeted name if at all..

I am very happy that they < called for sanctions against Iraq to be lifted >
One would have expected that they call the sanctions as “Human Rights
violations”; “illegal”, “genocidal” …. But then how should they know? They
live comfortably in London!! The bombs are not going to fall on their heads.

Best regards

Ghazwan Al-Mukhtar

Baghdad, Iraq

Marchers demand Saddam is ousted

Some 1,200 people marched through central London demanding the overthrow of
Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

But the protesters, drawn from mainly Iraqi communities across Britain,
stressed that any military action against the dictator must not harm the
people of Iraq.

The demonstration, organised by the Iraqi Human Rights Division, called for
sanctions against Iraq to be lifted and members of Saddam's regime to be
charged with committing crimes against humanity and arrested if they leave
the country.
