Dear list, After hours of surfing, I'm still in the dark about any holds currently placed on books/educational material. Casi's "whats's new" site offers the stats for phase IV f OFF, in which some educational material is placed on holds, while the upgraded stats don't have a separte entry for educational material. You see, 6 weeks ago we were invited to donate for NMCDI to buy books for Libraries in Iraq, http://www.casi.org.uk/discuss/2001/msg01046.html on the basis that these books were prohibited entry into Iraq. Is there any evidence of books still on hold ? Or is it simply that the GOI sees the priorities for spending OFF-revenue somewhere else ? Shouldn't I rather donate for prohibited spare parts for water treatment facilities ? Why is there no readiliy available info about these holds ?
