November Conference. New Speakers confirmed!



Coalition Against Sanctions and War on Iraq.

After a decade of sanctions on Iraq, Dennis Halliday, a former UN Under Secretary General and UN Co-ordinator of the Oil - for - Food Programme is right when he says "history will slaughter those responsible" for the gross human rights abuses that are going on inside Iraq. Iraq is a country which is being bombed on an almost daily basis by Coalition forces. It is inside Iraq, where in 1997, UNICEF confirmed that "one third of Iraq's child population suffered from severe malnutrition", it is also in Iraq where "patients either do not wake up from an anaesthetic for about two and a half days, or come-to during an operation," There is also an increase in cancer and birth deformities which are believed to have occured as a result of the use of so-called Depleted Uranium Weapons by the West.Venue:
