Report on Saturday's demo at Downing St

About 60 people (conservative guess) showed up at very short notice for an
hour and a half opposite Downing Street. Overwhelming impression of shock
and outrage. 'Too angry to speak', said one person.

Speakers included recent Voices delegates Les Gibbons and Richard Byrne,
Gulf Peace Team veterans Peggy Preston and Richard Crump, Arab lawyer Sabah
al-Mukhtar, ARROW direct actionist Emily Apple (up in court soon for
blockade of Parliament 16 Jan).

Footage of demo shown on Channel 4 News and BBC TV news.

Powerful minute's silence in the middle of the demonstration thinking about
frightened people in Iraq, all those killed by bombing and sanctions over
the last decade, re-dedicating ourselves to carry on.

Basic groundwork 2 hours phoning the London section of the Voices mailing
list.
