deja vu

I remember when the great British public were softened up prior to
opening up dialogue with Sinn Fein.

BBC News Online have had 3 articles recently about a shot down
British Airman returning to Iraq. The Iraqis are depicted as being
thoroughly decent and reasonable. I have to admit wondering
whether a similar process was starting. Having read Hain's article
I'm almost certain we are.

The key is convincing the Iraqis that we really do intend to drop
sanctions.
