Re: Turkish dam

Hi, The dam in question is the Ilisu Dam in SW Turkey which, if built, will destroy large areas of inhabited land in the Kurdish area of Turkey. Protests have been made by the Syrian government as well as environmental and human rights groups. The project will be largely funded by the UK government, and has been a controversial issue over the last year. Below a selection of articles from the guardian which has regularly covered the issue.
