news digest

dear casi members,

I volunteered to compile the news digest for CASI during Peter's two
week-absence. Sorry for not having the digest ready for you by
Sunday; I'm used to having the digest ready by Tuesday for the
iac-news-digests. At any rate, you'll have it soon :) and thanks for your
patience

".. not to believe in the possibility of dramatic change is to
forget that things have changed, not enough, of course, but enough to show
what is possible. We have been surprised before in history. We can be
surprised again. Indeed, we can do the surprising."
