John Pilger's valuable new web site

Dear Friends,

The radical journalist John Pilger -- who recently made the important

The web site ("Hidden Agendas: The Films and Writings of John Pilger Online")

To mark the tenth anniversary of sanctions on Iraq (August 6), Pilger will be
hosting a live "web chat" discussing the issues surrounding the devastating
embargo on Monday, July 31, 2000, at 8 PM (UK Summer time).

The main bulk of the siteís material is centered around five of Johnís most
recent documentaries on Vietnam, East Timor, Burma, Australia, and Iraq,
including many clips from the films.

The site also includes a continually updated section called "Pilger in Print,"
containing the vast majority of Pilger's articles since 1998.

Pilger's contribution to Iraq Under Siege: The Deadly Impact of Sanctions and
War (Cambridge: South End Press; London: Pluto Press, 2000), "Collateral
Damage," is also available on the site. (For information on the book, visit
