The New York Times
July 6, 2000, Thursday, Late Edition - Final
SECTION: Section A; Page 2; Column 3; Metropolitan Desk
LENGTH: 71 words
HEADLINE: Corrections

BODY:
An article on Monday about the view of a former United Nations weapons inspector, Scott Ritter,
that Iraq no longer possesses prohibited weapons of any importance misquoted a passage in an
article he had written for the journal Arms Control Today. He wrote that "it was possible as early
as 1997 to determine that, from a qualitative standpoint, Iraq had been disarmed." He did not write
"from a quantitative standpoint."
