Dear all, I have no time to translate the whole speech of the Italian Member of the European Parliament Luisa Morgantini (communist and well-known pacifist), but I will tell you more or less what she said. She asked for the end of the embargo and said they were voting an important resolution on this subject. She said documents show that Iraq has already destroyed its weapons of mass destruction. She asked for the control of weapons in the whole Middle-East (Israel included) and criticized the United States for their double standard and the war against Yugoslavia. She thanked Patricia McKenna for showing to the Europarliament Pilger's video on the effects of sanctions in Iraq. She 'saluted' Halliday's resignation (but forgot Von Sponeck).
