AMNESTY UK AGM EXCELLENT NEWS

A couple of hours ago the AIUK AGM passed, overwhelmingly, 3 resolutions
regarding sanctions on Iraq.

The main motion declared that AIUK thinks AI should and could campaign NOW
on human rights abuses arising from sanctions without any need to change its
mandate. They will be pressing the International Executive Committee to come
up with an urgent decision.

More details on exact wordings soon - right now I'm far too knackered.

All the best,

Glenn
