Peter Hain

I could hardly believe it! I have just heard peter Hain on radio news
independent radio saying that sanctions against
Zimbabwe are not feasible (my word) because sanctions would hurt the
ordinary people of Zimbabwe most, causing them great hardship.

My comment: so when it comes to Iraq, sanctions which have exactly the same
effects on the ordinary women and children of Iraq are alright. I assume
because in the eyes of the likes of Peter Hain and New Labour, these people
do not constitute human beings, worthy of our compassion. Therefore it is
alright to cause them immense suffering, and allow a de facto genocide.

Surely the governments that support these sanctions should be indicted for
crimes against humanity.
