****************************************** Bas "the Chunky Monkey" Kirmani Peterhouse, Cambridge CB2 1RD ****************************************** Dear people of the world, Neither of the links in the Foreign Office Answers email work. If someone has Galloway's office number, could they try ringing and pointing this out? The 1-2% figure usually cited for blockage of OFF contracts is very suspcious, and I would like to know if Hain is being as economical with the facts as it is in his interests to be. Secondly, considering the entire problem of 'dependence' of exports (ie one component being vital to the working of others) is there any way of quantifying how useful the SENT contracts are? It seems clear that the 1-2% figure is either inaccurate or responsible for far greater damage than the government is willing to admit. Thanks, basitt PS And what's all that stuff about not blocking vaccines in there? -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a discussion list run by the Campaign Against Sanctions on Iraq For removal from list, email soc-casi-discuss-request@lists.cam.ac.uk Full details of CASI's various lists can be found on the CASI website: http://welcome.to/casi
