Hello all John Pilger was interviewed on the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) English Radio Service this morning regarding Iraq. He came across very well. He stressed that Iraq used to be a developed economy, with modern hospitals. Now these hospitals are collapsing and there is no access to the sophisticated equipment (e.g. heart-lung machines) that they once had. He also pointed out the lack of access of Iraqi children to vaccines. Mention was also made of high cancer rates in the south, which Pilger said were more than likely a result of DU. The second part of the interview will be on SABC English Radio Service (AM Live) tomorrow morning at approximately 7:40am.
