media representation of Iraq

Dear friends,

Hello from the U.S.,

I'm working on a chapter, with Ali Abunimah, on the media's representation
of Iraq. Since both of us are based in the US, and since the book's
distribution will be primarily in the US, we are concentrating on US media
-- but we are not limited to US media.

Due to the shortage of time and due to the overwhelming material out
there, Ali and I decided to focus on two time periods: The December 1998
bombing, and the August-October 1999 time-period when the UNICEF 1999
Report was issued.

I'm sure that many on this list have a great deal of excellent ideas to
share :). If so, please send them to me (to 'rmasri@leb.net' or
'rmasri@Ncsu.edu') by Thursday. (yes, we're working on an extremely tight
schedule -- the draft will be finished by Friday morning)

Many thanks,
-Rania Masri
