The Seattle Post-Intelligencer published a special section on the Iraq sanctions (http://www.seattle-pi.com/iraq/) in mid-May, entitled "Life and Death in Iraq". It included a hard-hitting photo gallery (P-I staff visited Iraq), and a decent factual summary of sanctions' effects. CASI contributors will also appreaciate the subsequent "Letters to the Editor" page (http://www.seattle-pi.com/pi/opinion/ltrs163.shtml), filled with heartfelt thanks for this 'long-overdue report'. Great news, especially when coupled with this week's 'Economist' article ... and today's reports that the UK now backs ending sanctions.
