The proposed US and Britidh bombing campaign has not been authorised by
the UN Security Council, will cause "unpredictably heavy civilian
" (International Herald Tribune, 12 Nov.) and will terminate the
process that the MOD has warned is essential to prevent Iraq from
restarting its
unconventional weapons programmes.

"4000 to 5000 children are dying unnecessarily evey month due to the
impact of sanctions because of the breakdown of water and sanitation,
inadequate diet and bad internal health situation" - Denis Halliday,
former UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Iraq, 30 September.

The economic sanctions must be lifted.
