Re: Fw: more information about a flesh-eating screw-worm let lose upon Iraq

Dear All

Whilst I have the strongest support for the people of Iraq and I comdemn
Madeline Albright's remarks about the continuing sanctions against Iraq
and the number of Iraqui dead being "worth it", I cannot sit back and
accept this criticism of Israel and Jews by an obviously anti-Semitic and
anti-Israeli person. We must all fight for peace and justice in the Middle
East and this does not mean taking the side of the Arabs against the
Israelis nor the side of the Israelis against the Arabs. We are all surely
hoping to achieve peace and reconciliation in this situation not to
provoke more bad feelings.

If, indeed, this news of a flesh eating fly is true, then all the
countries in this area are at risk, not just the Iraquis, as animals do
not usually adhere to international boundaries but have a habit of
travelling as and when they will. This seems to me to be pure propaganda
without any factual basis.

Many people are very concerned over the fate of Iraq and anxious to get
the sanctions lifted, however, this sort of biased message does not
help anyone.
