14 APRIL, LONDON: IRAQI WORKER SOLIDARITY GROUP MEETING with speaker (Yahia
Said) on academic life and student organisation in Iraq today. 6.30pm in the
Golden Lion, Britannia St/ Kings Cross Road, near Kings Cross.

21 - 25 APRIL: SPRING PEACE CAMP AT RAF BRIZE NORTON with the main purpose
of dialoguing with members of the military. Other activities include: march
through nearby Carterton on the 23rd; speakers from Veterans for Peace and
Military Families Against the War; banner making; yoga; singing; creative
writing; tour of the base; bird-watching; a mock-exorcism ceremony with
bonfire on the 22nd (in which participants will be invited to cast into the
flames whatever evil thing they want banished from our society: cluster
bombs?; the spirit of New Labour?); and plane spotting. No drugs, dogs of
alcohol.

Nearest railway and National Express stations to Carterton are in Oxford, 20
miles away. Local buses run to Carterton regularly. More detailed transport

[B] NEW 'COUNTER TERROR, BUILD JUSTICE' DVD FROM JNV

JNV have made a short (20 minute) documentary about the war on terror and
why
people become terrorists.  It was made in Hastings and includes interviews
with
Michael Foster local Labour MP, Dr Rajbee Chair of East Sussex Islamic
Society
and Bruce Kent Vice President of CND.  The extras on the DVD include talks
by Milan
Rai on i) How getting involved can make a difference and ii) How to resolve
terrorism.  The other extra is a presentation of the Counter Terror, Build
Justice Statement.  The DVD can be obtained from JNV for £5 plus £1.50 for
postage and packaging.
